RHOBH: Andy Cohen Speaks On Denise Richards Departure: We Couldnt Reach An Agreement

Denise Richards’ first season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was a breeze. However, this installment made her the clear target which was why it wasn’t a surprise when it was announced that she would not be coming back for another season.

Kyle Richards, Teddi Mellencamp, and Lisa Rinna came together to question Denise about an alleged hook up that RHOBH alum Brandi Glanville said happened without Aaron Phypers’ knowledge.

Denise not only denied that she was even friends with Glanville but also went radio silent towards the last few episodes of the season. She was then piled on at the reunion.

This kind of pressure could make even the toughest reality stars waver and this resulted in her choosing not to return. Richards is an actress so the money wasn’t the reason that she was doing the show.

A source told Hollywood Life: ‘She had to spend a lot of time away from her girls with her schedule and when you couple that with the soap schedule and other acting projects, she had barely any time and something had to give. She wants to spend more time focusing on her acting and with family. It really was not a hard decision for her to make. She did not like doing it anymore so she walked away, but the show did want her back.’

They also said that since Garcelle Beauvais was the only real friend she had on the series, it definitely didn’t make sense for her to stay.

People Magazine caught up with Andy Cohen who gave his reasoning as to why the actress bid adieu. According to the EP, they couldn’t reach an agreement.

‘I’m just upset that we couldn’t reach an agreement for next season, I’m kind of living in that sadness. We were negotiating a deal with her and we couldn’t reach an agreement on the deal.’

He confirmed the aforementioned statements about Denise having a hard season.

‘She has a family and kids. Whatever happened or didn’t happen, I would imagine that it’s something she didn’t really care to discuss on a television show.’
