He was heavily influenced by Kishore Kumar and, like his idol, KK was also not professionally trained in music.KK had sung nearly 3,500 jingles in 11 different languages before making it big as a playback singer.He became an overnight sensation after the release of songs like Yaaron and Pal which reminisce about the themes of childhood and friendship. These songs have become a staple in school graduation and farewell ceremonies.Eerily enough, KK performed the emotional Pyar Ke Pal as his swansong. He passed away not long after ending his final concert performance.He was cremated at the Versova Hindu Cemetery in Mumbai’s Andheri after his demise.
