John Legend and Chance the Rapper join forces on 'Penthouse Floor'

John Legend’s upcoming album, DARKNESS AND LIGHT is set for release on December 2. But, to get us through these next two weeks, Legend has premiered a second single to hold us over that features one of today’s hottest names in hip-hop, Chance the Rapper.

“Penthouse Floor” is a funky, lighthearted mid-tempo track that showcases the rise of Legend and Chance’s careers.

Both metaphorically and literally, the two are reaching great heights. “Let’s go ride the elevator/ They can’t keep us out no more / Let’s go to the penthouse floor.”

Other guest appearances on Legend’s new record include Miguel and Alabama Shakes’ Brittany Howard.

The “All of Me” singer recently dropped the music video for “Love Me Now,” the first song released off of DARKNESS AND LIGHT.

The emotional video was shot at notable locations such as North Dakota’s Standing Rock Reservation and Orlando’s Pulse Nightclub.

Also captured is footage of John’s wife, Chrissy Teigen and their daughter Luna. Chance’s mixtape, Coloring Book has been a huge success for the unsigned artist.
