Halle Berry & Oliviers divorce is going so well, theyre vacationing together
When Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez announced their divorce last October, I just assumed that we needed to prepare ourselves for months, even years of he-said/she-said divorce drama. In fact, in the weeks immediately following their divorce announcement, pro-Halle sources were running to all of the weeklies to throw Olivier under the bus. And then… nothing much really happened. Halle and Olivier have been pretty quiet for months now. Is this the calm before the storm, or has Halle truly matured and she’s trying to get along with Olivier and effectively co-parent their son Maceo? Well, People Magazine has an interesting update – apparently, Olivier and Halle are currently on vacation together with the kids.
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez jetted out of the Los Angeles International Airport on Monday, coming together to take their children on a family vacation to Mexico despite their ongoing divorce proceedings. The former couple, who first announced their plans to divorce last October, were photographed leaving LAX with both Maceo-Robert, 2, and Berry’s daughter Nahla, 8. A source tells PEOPLE that the family of four are vacationing at a Mexican resort.
Berry, 49, and Martinez, 50, have come together before for the sake of the children, and other sources have told PEOPLE that the pair are working out divorce details amicably. “There is no fighting,” the insider shared.
Neither star was wearing a wedding ring on Monday. From the start, sources told PEOPLE that Berry and Martinez wanted to “make the divorce as painless as possible for the kids,” and that the actor was “very happy that he and Halle are able to keep a good relationship.”
If they’re truly getting along and there’s no drama, then God bless and Godspeed. I do have to wonder… how is that there was so much drama with Gabriel Aubry, who was basically milquetoast, and yet there’s no drama with Olivier, who famously has a hair-trigger temper? Is it crazy that I wonder if Halle and Olivier might get back together? I mean, they suited each other in some weird way. Anyway, if they’re not getting back together and they’re just trying to do the “conscious uncoupling” thing, then good for them.
