Farrah Frostt Dishes On Not In The Mood

Pop hip-hop rhyme slinger Farrah Frostt recently unleased her debut single and music video – “Not In The Mood.”

The song is Frostt’s pertinent and stylish advocacy of the #MeToo movement. Frostt is an ardent champion of investing women with autonomy and calling a halt to the unrestrained behavior of chauvinistic men.

Immensely gifted, Frostt is a true renaissance woman: singer-songwriter, SAG-AFTRA actress and model, she is a highly-qualified hip-hop, tap, ballet, jazz, and lyrical dancer. Moreover, she holds a B.S. in Neuroscience, a B.A. in Writing Seminars, a B.A. in Medicine, Science and the Humanities, and minored in Theatre while enrolled as a premed student at Johns Hopkins University, where she did research for John Hopkins’ departments of Neurosurgery, Pancreatic Immuno-Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Cardiology.

A hardcore science buff, Frostt’s musical flair approaches the nonpareil, enabling her to work with former Death Row Records producer Sam Sneed, whose production resume reads like a who’s who of hip-hop, including 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre.

“Not In The Mood” opens on oscillating synths flowing into a syncopated-lite trap beat topped by a fat bass line and shimmering colors. The rhythm undulates with sinuous, sensual energy. When Frostt’s tight rapping flow enters, the lyrics take on a polished snug flavor full of contagious rhymes and smart wordplay.

There’s a delightful deluxe scathing timbre to Frostt’s tone as she lets men know exactly what she thinks of their odious sexist attitudes and free-roaming hands.

“Yo, fall back, Jack / You must be trippin’ off the cognac / All up in my face / Invadin’ my space / With your hands all over the place / My girls and I are tryin’ to have a good time / You’d think you’d know better asking me too / Who the hell are you? / I’m Farrah Frostt, bitch.”

With “Not In The Mood,” Farrah Frostt lays out a skintight flow riding an infectiously pulsating groove rife with luminous sonic textures. Farrah Frostt definitely has it going on.
