Emily Skye hits back at vile social media comments about her body
A fitness influencer has hit back at haters who told her that her body was “gross” and she “shouldn’t show her flaws”.
Emily Skye took to Instagram on Sunday to share several hate comments she gets online, including: “This is such a masculine build, ladies don’t feel pressure to look like this.”
Another said: “So gross, she needs a one piece bathing suit.”
“Yuck head OK body but bit manly,” another commented on the thread.
Another said she shouldn’t show her stomach flaws as a mother, while one added surgery could fix the “nightmares”.
She took a few days before jumping on to social media to respond to the negativity, saying she tried not to let comments get to her and it was OK not to be everyone’s “cup of tea”.
“My body is currently not in fashion! Yep, you read right! Body shapes are in fashion,” she said. “How ridiculous is that! I don’t have a tiny waist with big hips, bum & legs so I’m not in fashion.
“Lucky fashion has never been my forte!”
She said she wasn’t going to sacrifice the health and strength she had built over time in order to look a certain way or be deemed “attractive” in society’s eyes.
The 38-year-old said she trains and eats well so she can be strong and feel good – not to fit into trends.
“You may like a certain look and you are entitled to have your opinion and ‘taste’ but there’s absolute no point in telling another person that they don’t look good,” Emily continued in her post. “Just don’t say anything at all!

She added that negative opinions about someone’s body should be kept to themselves, as they don’t help anyone.
